textbender licence

Copyright 2005-2007, Michael Allan.

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Textbender Software"), to deal in the Textbender Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicence, and/or sell copies of the Textbender Software, and to permit persons to whom the Textbender Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions:

The preceding copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Textbender Software.

THE TEXTBENDER SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE TEXTBENDER SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE TEXTBENDER SOFTWARE.

This is an ‘MIT’ licence.

Parts of textbender may carry other licences. In such parts, either the scope of the licence is contained within that part (usually an individual file), or not contained. Where the scope is contained, the terms of the licence apply only to that part; they affect no other, nor do they affect textbender as a whole. Contained scope is the most common case. For example, many files have their own versions of the above licence, identical except for the copyright owners and years.

Where the scope of the other licence is not contained (where it affects some other part, or affects textbender as a whole), a copy of the licence must be stored as a file under the directory o/_/licence/. Furthermore, the part that carries that licence must make an explicit link to the licence file in that directory.

citations

To cite a textbender document, the suggested format is:

Author Name. Year. Document Title. SourceForge.net, project textbender, release number, file path. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=134813&package_id=148018

For example:

Michael Allan. 2007. Recombinant Text. SourceForge.net, project textbender, release 0.2.2, file d/overview.xht, http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=134813&package_id=148018.

For past releases down to 0.2.1, you can browse the online repository. Choose ‘manifest’ to see the complete set of documents for each different release, as archived at SourceForge.net.

Older releases must be download separately from the SourceForge.net archive.
